JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Summary

This PE backed fast paced manufacturer has enjoyed strong growth and post a recent acquisition has an impressive growth strategy for new products and customers, and an investment plan.

The FP&A role is new and approved by the Board as an interim but, given the growth plans for the business, there may be further opportunities that could develop.

We are looking for someone who can look at our data with a critical eye; spots data anomalies, trends and deviations; and develops our reporting tools to help improve the business’ performance.

Responsibilities

The key business projects:

  1. 3 year business plan model development

  2. Forecast model development

  3. Standard costs analysis - A project to review all standard costs and constituent elements needs to be undertaken so that standard costs can be updated. This is a project in conjunction with the financial controller.

  4. Reporting tools and database development

  5. Management accounts reports – supports the FC to improve and develop the reporting pack.

  6. Ad hoc reporting as required.

Qualifications, experience and skillset

  • Qualified CIMA or ACA

  • Strong experience working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve the organization’s financial performance

  • Excellent analytical and technical skills as well as a strong business acumen

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Coach the business analyst to assist with their development

  • Advanced excel user and reporting tools – use these skills to develop Power BI.
