Part-Time (4 days per week) or Full Time
We are recruiting for a Management Accountant to provide maternity cover and manage the financial operations of the Group, support the operational team and feed into the wider group’s accounting requirements.
THE ROLE
Key Responsibilities
- Sales reconciliations, working with stakeholders to manage and understand the drivers for control accounts and debtor balances
- Ownership and timely production of accurate company P&L's, Balance Sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities, to include liaison with other teams where appropriate
- Monitoring against forecasts
- Raising some manual sales invoices and credits
- Coding and loading purchase invoices
- Making payments to suppliers
- Update and maintaining cash flow
- Month end reconciliations and reporting to include creating and posting journals
- Supporting the provision of results commentary to the team
- Identify and recommend process improvements to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose
- Support the wider team as required
Routine Financial Duties
- Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
- Complete purchase orders and bank reconciliations
- Enter financial information into appropriate software programs
- Manage company ledgers
- Verify balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
- Post daily receipts and verify bank deposits
- Record office expenditures and process business expenses
- Manage debtors and creditors
- Handle accruals and prepayments
- Support operational team members on stock takes monthly
- Sort financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts

Qualifications
- Educational experience in accounting preferable; AAT / CIMA / ACCA / ACA
Software Experience
- Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages.
- Fluency with online accounting packages (Xero & Quickbooks) and familiarity of ecommerce platforms
Role Location / COVID-19
A blend of working from the office and from home is available. Occasional travel may be required.
Working Hours
We are looking for the right person to join our team and can be flexible as to whether the role would be Part-time (30+ hours pw) or Full Time (37.5 hours pw) as well as regarding working hours.
