JOB DESCRIPTION

The role includes:

  • Management and reconciliation of the Fixed Assets register and lead the improvements
  • VAT - UK & Europe - Complete the quarterly VAT returns for UK & Europe UK.
  • Preparation of Management Accounts and Balance Sheet
  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the UK and EU balance sheet (for EU not all codes) providing the Financial Controller status of the reconciliation position
  • Oversee the monthly accounting for the EU and UK investment portfolios
  • Review of eMoney postings including UK and EU
  • Review the eMoney liability reconciliations for EU & UK and ensure supporting action plans are in place for any reconciliation differences.
  • Support the reconciliation process of the Tide loan repayment and lead the quarterly review of loan arrangement.
  • Complete the first review of the settlement calculations for interchange due to clients and review client level balance sheets reconciliation.
  • Management

    • Management and coaching of 1 Financial Analyst and 0.5FTE of a shared accountant role
    • Support the development of the individual

    Annual Audit and Statutory Accounts Process

    • Support the Financial Controller in the annual audits for UK
    • Other:

      • Deputise for the Financial Controller in their absence
      • Support the Financial Controller in adhoc projects and implementation of technical accounting updates.

      Identifying and introducing efficiencies and controls.

We are looking for:

  • Strong accounting and technical skills, including advanced Excel.
  • Strong accounting system knowledge
  • An efficient and organised worker who can work under time pressure
  • Flexible and dynamic individual who can respond and reprioritise based on organisation demands
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and initiative
  • Experience in Financial / Management Control (desirable)
